POKOTABI / ZORRO
ZORRO
Just outside Keikyu Zoshiki Station, retro kissaten ZORRO serves up hearty yoshoku plates such as soft-scrambled omelette rice alongside single-origin coffees and coffee jelly.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
A short walk along the shopping street outside Zoshiki Station leads up a flight of stairs to the second floor, where ZORRO preserves the relaxed, nostalgic atmosphere of a classic Japanese kissaten. Stepping inside reveals an unfussy coffeehouse interior, making it an easy stop for a quiet solo meal or an unhurried afternoon coffee break.
The menu leans comfortably into familiar Japanese Western-style classics (yoshoku). A popular midday choice is the soft-scrambled omelette rice, draped in savoury demi-glace sauce and available as a set with a side salad and a drink. The toast selection is just as generous; the "American Toast" pairs buttered toast with a frankfurter and salad on a single platter, ideal for brunch or a lighter bite. Diners can also opt for set plates such as hamburger steak with crab cream croquette, alongside various pasta and pilaf dishes suited to everyday cravings.
The beverage list covers an extensive range of coffee styles, moving from brisk Kilimanjaro to full-bodied Mandheling, Mocha Mattari, and house blends. For dessert or an afternoon pause, the menu features a coffee jelly made with French roast and Blue Mountain beans, served alongside ice cream.
Dine-in seating with table service is available throughout the day. Payment can be made via cashless QR code methods such as PayPay and Rakuten Pay, and the shop maintains a traditional smoking-permitted dining space.
